Every year Mediatrade, an auction house in Milan, organizes numerous exhibitions and auctions of contemporary and modern art and collectible objects. In 2018 one of the last annual exhibitions was held during the month of November.
Among the artistic works on exhibition there were works by Baj, Rotella, Casorati, Fontana and many others.
The client asked us to take care of the visual identity of the event. We had to advertise the event through a digital and printed communication giving it an innovative and if possible animated graphic design so that we could exploit some digital advertising totems. The main Artwork is composed of elements that recall some of the most famous modern artistic currents. The moving bubble at the center of the Artwork represents the color palette, which becomes a constantly changing color spot, a reference to the decontextualization of Dadaism. The square behind the spot is a reference to Cubism, the grid of points to Pointillism and the moving lines, underneath the work, to Optical Art. The artwork in its entirety is presented as a sort of collage, a clear reference to another important artistic current, Pop Art.
